Healthy Watch Party App: Avocado Hummus Dip

March Madness marks a great time of year to have a group over to watch basketball and to seriously get down on some munchies. However, entertaining for a crowd can be challenging if you are trying to provide an array of snacks for everyone to choose from!

In addition to the usual bags of chips and heavy cheese dips, we love this light Avocado Hummus dip that is perfect when served with fresh crudités and crunchy crackers. The recipe is simple, healthy, and great to make a few hours before guests arrive.

Ingredients
  •
  • 2 whole avocados, cut into pieces
  • 1/3 cup lemon juice
  • 3 tablespoons finely chopped red onion
  • 2 teaspoons garlic
  • 1/2 cup olive oil, plus more for drizzling
  • 1 1/2 Tbs Tahini (ground sesame seeds)
  • Fresh ground pepper
  • Kosher salt
Directions

In a food processor (or a Magic Bullet) purée the avocados with the chickpeas, lemon juice, onion, garlic, and tahini.

Add the 1/2 cup of oil and puree until smooth; season with salt and pepper. Transfer the dip to a bowl, drizzle with olive oil and serve with crudités and assorted crackers.
