BBQ Hacks for Your 4th of July Bash

It's so much fun to throw a successful party any time of year, but a stellar barbecue will definitely stick in your guests’ memories even after the season has psased! We have some very simple and frugal tips to help you to throw the best summer party on the block – with very little stress on your part!

All-in-One Place Setting

Our first tip is to make sure you save loads of time on setting the table. By making these cute all-in-one place settings ahead of time, guests can grab them as they sit down, or you can set them at each seat on your picnic tables! Just put the necessary silverware into a mason jar (that can be used for a drinking glass,) along with a napkin and salt and pepper packets.

Mess-Free Cooler Ice

Next, you want to make sure everyone has a nice cold beverage on a hot summer night, but you don’t want to have to your guests reaching into a messy and drippy cooler every time thirst strikes! The super-cute fix for this is to fill regular party balloons with water and freeze them the night before. Fill your cooler or drinks bucket with them in order to keep drinks cool without the mess. The fun part is that you can use colors to ‘theme’ your party – for example; red, white, and blue are just perfect for the Fourth of July!

Keep the Bugs Away

You also make sure your barbecue isn’t crashed by unwelcome guests… mosquitoes! These pesky bugs absolutely hate the smell of dryer sheets, so use large binder clips to secure them to your picnic table legs to make sure the bugs stay far far away! As a further tip to keep bugs out of your hair and your drinks, cover your beverages with upside-down muffin tins and then poke a straw through so you can sip your drink without bothersome bugs!
