DIY Screen Printed Gift Jars

I love re-purposing old vintage storage jars and filling them with any number of holiday treats like infused sugars, salts and traditional boiled holiday sweets. With the craze still strong for food in jars, this is a great DIY project that is both on trend and simple to create.

I opted for old vintage jars I purchased from a thrift store, but you can use any number of jars to make this project your own, including modern canning jars. If you are making more than on jar, be sure to wash off your screen print in between jars to ensure a clean finish every time.

Supplies
  • Adhesive Screen Print
  • Glass Paint
  • Glass storage jar
  • 2 Foam Brushes
Directions

Step 1: Clean and dry the glass storage jar and then apply the adhesive screen print over the area you want decorated.

Step 2: Using your foam brush, apply a thin layer of glass paint across the surface of the screen print.

Step 3: Use the second foam brush to gently wipe away any excess paint and ensure that the area is fully painted.

Step 4: While still damp, gently peel off the screen print, and then allow your jar to dry for 3-4 hours before filling with holiday goodies.
