Jell-O shots aren't just for college dorm room parties anymore. Hostesses started a huge trend this year by dressing up their Jell-O. We have seen so many creative molds and flavors, especially this Lemon Cupcake one created by our contributor, Coryanne Ettiene.

This Dressed Up Jell-O Shot recipe is so easy to make and your guests will love that they look like little watermelon slices. Watch the how-to video here, then scroll down for the complete list of supplies and directions.

Jello shots

Ingredients & Supplies
  • 8-10 limes
  • 1 cup of vodka
  • 1 cup of boiling water
  • 1 packet of Jell-O (We used the Strawberry flavor)
  • Pairing knife
  • Cutting board
  • Pitcher
Directions

Step 1: Take your limes and cut them in half. With your pairing knife, cut around the edges of the inside of the lime and hollow out the inside. It is good to leave some pulp in the center so you can still taste the lime juice when you bite into the shot.

Step 2: So the limes don't roll around, cut the bottom of your limes so they can lay flat and place them on a plate.

Step 3: In a pitcher, stir your packet of Jell-O into 1 cup of boiling water. Add 1 cup of chilled vodka. Pour your mixture into each lime half that you have already carved out.

Step 4: Chill your Jell-O shots for 4 hours.

Step 5: Once the Jell-O has solidified, cut each lime in half and place on display for your guests!
