Grilled Banana Boat S'mores

Here’s a riddle: What do you get when you slice a banana down the middle, and stuff the peel to the max with marshmallows and chocolate chips and then grill the whole thing?! You get absolute perfection. Today in the spirit of summer barbeques we wanted to make something to satisfy everyone’s sweet tooth! Grilled Banana Boat S’mores. 

Grilled Banana Boat Smores

These BBQ treats are simple to make, even if you don’t have a grill! You can make these in the oven as well, just see the directions below. 


1 banana

2 tablespoons miniature marshmallows

2 tablespoons semi-sweet chocolate chips

2 tablespoons Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal, slightly crushed


For each banana, cut 12-inch sheets of foil. Make deep lengthwise cut along inside curve of each banana, being careful not to cut all the way through. Open slit to form pocket.

Fill each banana with 2 tablespoons chocolate chips, 2 tablespoons marshmallows, and 2 tablespoons cereal.

Wrap each banana in foil, making sure that foil opening is on top. Using tongs, set wrapped bananas on a hot grill for 4-8 minutes, turning over about half way through.

After you let these cool slightly, enjoy with a spoon to make sure you get every last morsel of chocolate and melted marshmallow.

Even if you do not have a grill, you can still enjoy banana s’mores! Cook foil-wrapped bananas with all the fixins in a 400-degree oven for 5-6 minutes to get the same delicious result.
