How to Make a Balloon Arch Video

A balloon arch is the perfect way to greet guests as they arrive at a birthday party. Not only is it a statement making decoration, it's also affordable and easy to DIY. Most of the supplies require a quick trip to the local hardware store versus the party store, but don't let that intimidate you or stop you from crafting this balloon arch.

We've got a great video tutorial to show you just how to make this birthday decoration at home. Take a peek, then print out the supply list and directions below to turn this project into a spectacular finished product!

This fabulous arch can be decorated in many colors of balloons to accommodate a variety of party themes. Whether it's a circus as shown in the video or a different occasion this balloon arch is the perfect party accent. It definitely sets a fun and whimsical tone for your party!

2 pieces of 5 foot long rebar
2 7 foot long PVC poles (1-inch diameter)
1 5 foot long PVC pole (1-inch diameter)
2 elbow joints to fit the polls
100 good quality balloons

Begin by sticking the two pieces of rebar about 20-inches into ground and 5 feet apart from one another. Use a small shovel to help you reach the required depth if needed.

Next, slide the two 7-foot poles over the rebars. You'll then want to attach the 5-foot piece of PVC across the center to join the two 7-foot pieces. Use the elbow joints to secure and create a single bar.

Now, all that's left is to decorate! Blow up all of the balloons and tie two together at a time. Working your way around the entire pole display, twist pairs of balloons around the poles until the entire display is covered. The more balloons you use, the better it will look.
