Mother's Day 'Mom'osa: Strawberry Puree with Champagne

Happy Mother’s Day! We can’t think of anything Mom would love more on her special day than breakfast in bed with her favorite people. 


This simple cocktail pairs perfectly with a Mother’s Day brunch, or even makes an excellent pre-dinner aperitif if you are heading out to a Mother’s Day dinner later in the evening.

 

 

All you need are some delicious fresh strawberries, and cold sparkling wine to really wow your fantastic mom on this Mother’s Day!

Ingredients
  • Chilled dry Champagne or Prosecco, well chilled
  • 3 ounces orange-flavored liqueur like Cointreau
  • 2 teaspoons honey
  • 4 fresh strawberries, tops trimmed
  • Strawberry slices, for garnish
Directions

 

In a food processor or blender, puree the strawberries with the honey and Cointreau. 

Pour the puree mixture into two champagne glasses. Top with champagne and garnish with a strawberry slice on the rim.

Makes: 2 cocktails (one for you and one for mom!)
