Leftover Halloween Candy Creation: Double Reese's Chocolate Chip Cookies

Once the Halloween night rounds have been made, your house will probably be filled to the brim with delectable goodies, depending upon the ambition of your Trick-or-Treaters this year!


No need to stuff yourself on candy alone, why not do something a little creative with it this time around?

We’ve got a delectable recipe for thick and chewy cookies with Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups and colorful Reese’s pieces - two very popular Halloween candy items to do something fun with! Enjoy these with a cold glass of milk as you switch out the cobwebs with fall garlands.

Ingredients
  • 3/4 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips, Reese’s Pieces, or a mix of both
  • 1 bag Reese’s peanut butter cups, roughly chopped
Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cream together butter, sugar and brown sugar.

Once well combined, add eggs and vanilla. Slowly add in flour, salt, and baking soda. Fold in chopped Reese’s cups.

Scoop round balls onto cookie sheet. During this time press 3-4 Reece’s Pieces and 3 pieces chopped Reece’s into each cookie.

Bake for 10 minutes. Remove and allow to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes. Move cookies to a wire rack to cool completely.
