Rosemary Cucumber Gin & Tonic Recipe

The strong aroma of fresh rosemary mixed with the light, refreshing taste of cucumber makes for the perfect spring flavor combination. Add in a squeeze of tart lime and you have the makings of a delicious cocktail.  

Get ready for warmer weather and spruce up your standard gin an tonic with these fresh springtime ingredients. This rosemary gin and tonic is great to serve during a springtime bridal shower or cocktail party. It also looks so pretty in the glass when garnished with a sprig of rosemary and a slice of cucumber. 



Muddle the fresh ingredients in a glass or cocktail shaker for a unique springtime flavor combination. All of these flavors together creates a cocktail that embodies all of the wonderful elements of spring. 

Plus, with the pretty garnishes and the savory smell of the drink, it makes a lovely addition to your spring tablescape or outdoor cocktail party! 

  • 1 cucumber
  • 1/2 lime
  • 2 sprigs rosemary
  • 2 oz Gin
  • 3-4 oz tonic water
  • Ice


Peel one half of a cucumber, and slice 1/2 a lime into four wedges. In a highball glass or cocktail shaker, add three slices of peeled cucumber, 1 sprig rosemary, juice from a lime wedge, and 1 ounce gin. Muddle with a muddler or the back of a large spoon.

Strain through a mesh strainer into a rocks glass. Add several cubes of ice, and three slices of unpeeled cucumber. Top with remaining gin and then fill to the top with tonic. Serve garnished with your remaining rosemary sprig.
