Simple Baking Hacks: Makes These Delicious Recipes in Minutes

If you want to whip up an amazing homemade treat, but aren’t exactly a wiz in the kitchen, there's no need to stress! Read on for two of our favorite tricks that take very little effort, but yield amazing results when it comes to your favorite baked goods.

If you love the idea of baking delicious homemade recipes, but don't have the time (or culinary skills) to pull off tasty treats in the kitchen, then don't stress. These "hacks" are just for you! We've taken some pre-made mix for muffins and cookies, and you can mix in your favorite add-ins. For these particular recipes, you just need to focus on what you’re going to mix into you pre-made, store- bought mixes. Dried fruit, nuts and chocolate chips all make amazing add-ins for boxes baking mixes.



If you’d like to treat a loved one to breakfast in bed, or just looking for a delicious breakfast option, then be sure to check out our muffin mix hack. If you're more of a dessert fan, and something decadent and  sweet seems more up your alley, then try out our trick to making any pre-made cookie seem 100% homemade.

Either way, no one has to know that you took the "easy" way out, and totally hacked these delicious recipes! 


Homemade Banana Crumble Muffins


  • 1 box of your favorite store-bought muffin mix
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup butter or vegetable oil
  • 1 over-ripe mashed banana
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon

For the topping:

  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/3 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup flour

Prepare muffins according directions on box, adding in your mashed banana and cinnamon. Pour into greased muffin tins. In a separate bowl, beat together the remaining cinnamon, butter, and sugar. With your fingers, crumble the mixture overtop the muffins. Bake as directed on box, making sure the topping gets nice and browned!


Homemade Cranberry Macadamia Nut Cookies



  • Pre-packaged Sugar Cookie Mix
  • 1/3 cup Cranberries
  • 1/3 cup chopped Macadamia Nuts
  • 1/3 cup White chocolate chips

Prepare cookies as directed on package, and place onto cookie sheet. Then, press in as little or as many of your prepared toppings into the cookies. For softer cookies, roll the dough with toppings for each cookie. Bake as directed on packaging.
