The Thirsty Touchdown Cocktail

Looking for a creative and delicious alternative drink option for your Super Bowl viewing festivities? We love this one-of-a-kind cocktail that is the perfect combination of refreshing Pale Ale beer and smooth Bourbon. It’s certainly a step up from simply cooling down some six packs!

By swapping out some of the ingredients, you can also turn this cocktail into a gluten-free concoction that guests with all dietary restrictions can enjoy. Simply switch out the Pale Ale in the recipe for a gluten-free beer, or even use hard apple cider – both are equally delicious!

  • 2 dashes Peychaud's Bitters
  • 1 squeeze fresh lemon juice
  • 1 ounce maple syrup
  • 2 ounces Maker's Mark (or bourbon of your choice)
  • Pale Ale
  • Orange wedge for garnish

Add bitters, lemon juice, maple syrup, and bourbon to a shaker that is filled with ice.

Shake and strain into a highball glass filled with fresh ice.

Top with beer or cider, and garnish with an orange wedge.
