Design Christmas Greeting Card
Christmas Day is one of happiest times in our life, and everything that most of us do every year is to prepare gifts and Christmas greeting cards, but, sometimes a greeting card that made from an old photo would mean a lot more than any gift to those who you love, because it is not just a card with colorful pictures and warming words, it may remind those happy times that spent togther, refresh those good old memeries, strenthen the relationship with each other and so on.
North Pole Party Craft Ideas
Make Jingle Bell Necklaces:In bright bowls, have an assortment of jingle bells for the kids to thread onto thin satin ribbon. Help the kids tie a tight knot to hold the jingles on the necklace. The kids can wear these throughout the party and take home as a goody.
Make Snowmen:
You will need:
- Styrofoam balls in three shapes- large, medium and small.
- Toothpicks, puff paints or paint pens, fake snow, orange and black construction paper, black buttons, and glue.
- Stick the Styrofoam balls together with the toothpicks and then decorate them like snowmen. They can glue the buttons on as eyes or they can just decorate their snowmen with puff paints and paint pens.
- Give the snowmen top hats made out of the black construction paper, and a nose using the orange construction paper.
Draw winter scenes. Using construction paper, markers, glitter glue, cotton (for fake snow), etc. the kids can make their own wintry scene to hang around the party room and to take home with them.

Reindeer Food to Sprinkle on the Lawn (non-edible)
There are many variations of "Reindeer Food." This non-edible version comes with a little instructional poem to sprinkle the glittery, oaten mixture on the front lawn as a sparkling signal for Santa to stop!
Reindeer Food Poem
Sprinkle this mix on the lawn at night,
The moon will make it sparkle bright,
As Santa's reindeer fly and roam,
The sparkles will guide them to your home!

Homemade Holiday Soap
Making soap is probably the most advanced craft in this line up of homemade Christmas gifts. There are plenty of soap-making kits available that make the process creative and fun.
I find that the easiest way to make soap is the "melt and pour" method where you melt bars of a soap base by heating them, mix in fragrances and color, then pour the liquid into a mold to solidify.
To Make Homemade Soap:
- Search online and in craft stores for kits that contained pre-measured ingredients along with the fragrances and colors that appeal to you. Also pick up some holiday supplies to personalize your soap.
- Read the soap-making manufacturers instructions carefully for best results!
- One way to give your soap a holiday touch is by using seasonal soap molds from the craft store to make small guest soaps.
- For another gift idea, embed a small holiday trinket such as a miniature plastic candy cane in clear glycerin soap.
- Or you can color the soap red and green and layer it in a loaf pan then cut it into festive bars when it solidifies.
- Wrap your soap in a clear plastic or Cellophane and tie decorative ribbon around it. Slip small soaps into a small Christmas stocking to give as a gift.

Decoupage Treasure Box
The art of paper collage is simple if you have an all-in-one glue and glaze medium. All you have to do is chose images that appeal to your gift recipient and decoupage your design on to an item such as a small wood treasure box.
To Make A Decoupage Treasure Box:
- Shop at craft store, online, or rediscover a wooden box that will be the base for your decoupage design.
- Pick up a container of Mode Podge or a similar all-in-one decoupage medium along with foam brushes from a craft store.
- Prepare the box by painting or simply cleaning it.
- Find images suit the style of the item you want to decorate and cut them out. If necessary, scan images into a computer program and scale them to the size of the item that they will be applied to.
- Use the all-in-one decoupage medium to glue the images on to the box. After it dries, apply a coat over the images. Follow the manufacturer instructions regarding the application of coats and drying time for best results.
- For a bonus prize, include a handmade necklace or piece of jewelry in the treasure box for the gift recipient.

Handmade Jeweled Ornament
Decorating Styrofoam balls by inserting pins, beads, and sequins into them was a holiday craft I loved when I was little. With all the gorgeous ribbons and jewelry accents available at most craft stores, you can turn a glass or nice plastic ball into your own Faberge-inspired ornament as a handmade gift.
To Make Handmade Jeweled Ornaments:
- Select glass or plastic ball balls as the ornament base that you will decorate.
- Shop at a craft store with a jewelry-making section to find items to accent the ornament such as: rhinestones, delicate pearl chains, jewelry findings, hooks, clasps, jump rings, embroidered ribbon, beads, tassels, and embellishments.
- Pick up a tube of jewelry glue and gather materials like tweezers, needle nose pliers, toothpicks, and the like to aid you in crafting the ornament.
- Glue ribbon, jewelry findings with attachment hooks and jump rings on to the ornament with jewelry glue.
- Glue rhinestones, pearls, and spakly items on to the ball in a decorative design.
- Use jump rings to dangle jeweled strands and a tassel to the ornament.
- Place the ornament in a nice gift box with a bed of tissue paper to give as a gift.
