When summer rolls around, give me a fun cocktail, good book, some sunblock and a pool to lounge by, and I’m in heaven. There’s nothing that revitalizes me more than just laying around all day outside in the summer sun reading a fun book, taking the occasional dip in the pool and staying refreshed with my favorite pina colada recipe. Though the pina coladas weren’t a factor throughout high school and parts of college, my parents’ pool was a life saver on hot summer days when I wasn’t working.
Nowadays, I, like most people, have been forced to grow up, get out into the real world and work, so summer days relaxing poolside have decreased drastically in recent years. Always one to think positive, though, I like to think that one day, thanks to this thing I call a job, I’ll get to play in bigger, better pools and sip even more exotic cocktails I don’t have to make myself.
In honor of that, I’ve spent an unnecessary amount of time scoping out some of the most amazing pools around the world that I plan to take a dive into…one day.
Number 10: I'll be making it my goal to stay at the Round Hill Hotel & Villas with this amazing infinity pool the next time I make my way to Jamaica.

Number 9: It's no surprise a pool in Hawaii makes my list, but the Sheraton in Waikiki boasts a gorgeous infinity pool complete with stunning views. Make it a point to get here to watch a sunset - guests and non-guests alike are welcome!
Number 8: The Atlantis Resort on Paradise Island in the Bahamas is probably the ultimate family destination in the Caribbean. From water slides through shark tanks to it's more than 20 swimming areas, you'd need a week at least to enjoy all the pool fun this place offers.
Number 7: Catch a "dive-in" movie when you visit The Beverly Hilton and take a dip in the largest heated outdoor hotel pool. You can sip cocktails in the shallow end or go for a deep swim in its 10 foot deep area, too. Known most recently as the spot Angelina Jolie celebrated her Golden Globe win for Gia, it's a must visit for us!
Number 6: Forget calm and soothing - take a dip in the famous Bondi Baths at the Bondi Icebergs resort in Australia. You won't have to worry about any sharks while enjoying all the ocean has to offer!
Number 5: You may travel to New York to visit the Empire State Building, but why not enjoy a nice swim under its lights instead? The Gansavoort Hotel in NYC is a rare gem for both tourists and residents looking to relax, and tops my list at number 5 because of its amazing views of the famous city skyline.
Number 4: Why didn't I think of this?! OF COURSE we should turn balconies into pools! The Parinee Ism may be a residential tower in India, but we're fine with having to make friends if it means taking a dip in one of these private balcony pools.
Number 3: My third must try pool can be found at the Cambrian Hotel in the Swiss Alps. There's something about swimming amid snow covered mountains that's simply awe-inspiring.
Number 2: Your eyes do not deceive - that IS a surfer sailing through a pool on the back of a boat. Don't believe us? Head to the San Alfonso del Mar in Chile and take a look at the largest and deepest swimming pool in the world. This massive pool covers 19 acres and holds 66 million gallons of water.
