A burger is one of the easiest and most popular items to coo on a grill, which makes it the perfect entree for any afternoon or early evening tailgate party. The flavor and char that the grill gives to the burger is so much greater compared to cooking a burger on a stove top.
Apart from grilling burgers, one of my favorite ways to add flavor to this classic meaty sandwich is to stuff a burger with cheese - and lots of it! The cheese makes the burger extra juicy and moist, but also gives every bite a bit more flavor.
But don't stop there - to add even more cheese, I topped the burger patty and the burger bun with the cheese as well making a, you guessed it,– a 3 Cheese Burger!
1 1/2 pounds Ground Beef
1 cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese
5 Slices White Cheddar Cheese, Sliced
1/2 cup Shredded Monterrey Jack Cheese
5 Hamburger Buns
Form the ground beef into 5 burger patties, placing about 3 tablespoons of cheddar cheese in the center of each patty. Place the burgers on a grill over medium heat. Cook the burgers, flipping just once, until they are 1 minute away from being fully cooked. Place 1 slice of white cheddar cheese on top of each burger patty, and continue cooking the patties until the cheese melts.
Meanwhile, place the tops of each burger bun on the grill and sprinkle about 1 tablespoon of shredded Monterrey jack cheese on top of each bun. Leave the buns on the buns on the grill until the cheese melts.
To assemble the burgers, place the patty in between the buns and serve immediately.
