Paper straws are the latest way to dress your drinks up, but these cute straws can be used for more than sipping. Of course, they add a something special to any drink they garnish, but what about getting a little bit more creative with these colorful sticks?
There are so many ways to use paper straws at your next party and we've come up with our 5 favorite ways to incorporate them into your next celebrations.
#1 - Sipping Straws
Probably the most common (and most obvious) use for these pretty paper straws is well, to use them as straws! We used them to add some patriotic flair to our 4th of July berry punch recipe. Add simple paper embellishments like we did here with blue cardstock stars for a budget friendly, DIY look to your party sips.
#2. Pixie Sticks

You heard right. Those sugary pixie sticks you used to love as a kid that would turn your tongue all various colors of the rainbow can be easily recreated with your favorite party straws. Who wouldn't want to DIY these insanely sweet treats? They make great additions to favor bags or dessert buffet tables.
#3. Mini Banners
You can easily write "Happy Birthday" in pretty icing on the top of your next birthday cake, but why not get a little crafty and try making a mini banner instead? 100 Layer Cakes created this for a wedding and we love the gold lettering.
#4. DIY Wreaths

A wreath out of paper straws? This seems too cool to be true, but Blu Kat Kraft pulled it off beautifully. This fun pop of color at your door will make your party really stand out and it's an easy project for DIY decor.
#5 Cake Pop Toppers

But did you know you could use them to dress up your party treats, too? We love using them to top our cupcakes and to hold up our cake pops. With the right hue, you can work your party theme into your food if you’ve got paper straws on hand. Check out these Marilyn Monroe theme party cake pops here.
