It's Royal Fever! Between the recent wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton and Queen Elizabeth II's Diamond Jubilee (which marks 60 years of reign), the public can't seem to get enough of these famous Brits.
While Pippa Middleton has the Queen covered with some of her own DIY ideas, we've got some far out ideas that would make the Diamond Jubilee one for the history books.
Cheese Rolling
The British sure do have some unique traditions! Gloucestershire has an annual Cheese Rolling festival that they have been honoring for hundreds of years. Living in the Buckingham Palace, I doubt Queen Elizabeth II has ever had a chance to roll a large cheese wedge down a hill.
Why not celebrate a 60 year reign with 60 different types of cheeses being rolled down the biggest hill in England? Cheese rolling should definitely be added to her bucket list.
Royal Bar
It's no secret that the Queen of England is a bit of a lush. That's why I'm pretty sure she would just love this idea for her Diamond Jubille! A Royal Bar honoring English royals and noblemen with drinks such as the Queen Elizabeth Cocktail, The Black Velvet (named for Prince Albert), and the Lord Charles Cocktails. Of course, a bar in the queens honor has to have her favorite drink - the Dubonnet Cocktail.
Handstand on a Horse
Polo is THE sport in England. Why not mark 60 years of Queen-dom by learning how to handstand on a horse? It's a not-so-secret fact that Queen Elizabeth II has had a special place in her heart for horses since she was a little princess.
Hats, Hats, and more Hats
Every royal has to have their "it" accessory. For Queen Elizabeth II, her hats are her pride and joy. What better way to celebrate her 60 years than to take her many, many hats and turn them into one gigantic head display? OK, 60 years of hats may make for one oversized piece, so we say split the wealth!
Make a few ridiculously oversized and funky hats for the whole royal family to wear - snap a family pic and they've got their next Christmas card.
Corgi Sledding
Throughout her Reign, Queen Elizabeth II has owned a countless number of Corgi Dogs. These little fur balls are tiny in size and packed with energy. The Queen might enjoy this one - attaching a sled to 100 little Corgis and having them driver her around London. She may raise a few eyebrows and paws doing this one!
Moon Bounce Fit for a Queen
Every body loves a moon bounce. And when you've got the Queen's disposable income, a royally sized moon bounce is not out of the question. The only way to make it even better? Have the Queen's face covering the floor of the moon bounce. Who wouldn't love being able to bounce on their own face?!
