More Party Ideas

Watermelons are always a summer favorite when it comes to a refreshing snack. From fruit pops to cocktails and desserts, we're seeing watermelon recipes pop up all over since the start of warm weather season.

Instead of chopping up your watermelon and blending it into a recipe, why not try a more creative and crafty way to serve it at your next summer party. It can be as easy as sticking a nozzle into a whole melon and turning it into a keg (a real crowd pleaser I'm sure!) or carving your watermelon into something unique like a pirate ship or shark; both of those ideas I'm sure kids will love.

Scroll through the gallery and check out a few of the most creative edible watermelon crafts we found on the web this week.

Yodamelon

May the force be with you when you create this Yoda out of your watermelon! Don't worry though, this isn't just for show. There is a hole in the back full of little watermelon pieces for guests to munch on.
