We all had a favorite cereal as a kid. My parents were pretty strict when it came to eating sugary meals for breakfast, but every once in a while I was able to enjoy a sweet treat. My favorite cereal was always Cinnamon Toast Crunch, which still rings true because I will use any excuse to cook or bake with cinnamon. Not to toot my own horn, but I make a killer cinnamon buttercream.
Recently I've been seeing a lot of really creative dessert recipes using all of the popular cereals when I was younger. Who know you could incorporate cereal into cakes, cookies, and even popsicles!
From Fruit Loops to Captin Crunch and Trix, I wouldn't pass up the chance to try my childhood cereals in crunchy dessert form. Would you? Scroll through the gallery of yummy treats and decide!
