Choose a year to build trivia around. Someone turning 80 in 2009 was 20 in 1949. So, the 1940s is a good range to use.Hit the computer. You'll need to find the prices for a variety of products and experiences from the 1940s. Everyone will want to know the cost of gas back then, but be creative and look for things such as how much it cost to go on a date or to a baseball game. Wiki Answers and ask.com are good places to start your search.Create the quiz. Using Microsoft Word (or another word processing program), type out your questions in multiple-choice format. Add pictures to the page for extra oomph.Print out the quiz and make plenty of copies for everyone to play. Make sure to keep one with the answers for yourself.At the party, pass out the quizzes and let guests make their guesses. Or, make it more interactive with a Jeopardy-style game where the host calls out questions and everyone else tries to be the first one with the right answers.Offer prizes for the winners such as old-fashioned candy or a gas gift card, if you can swing it.
