July is National Blueberry Month, so there really couldn’t be a better time to celebrate with a Blueberry Party! Festive, refreshing and blue! What could be better? To make the most out of the occasion, you might want to consider these ideas:
Make balloon blueberry garland by stringing blue balloons and attaching it to patio/deck railings and umbrellas.
For table centerpieces, fill a clear, shallow bowl with water and drop in a few fresh blueberries and floating candles. They’ll look spectacular, especially as the sun goes down on another summer day. If you’d rather save the blueberries for eating, put a few drops of blue food coloring in the water instead!
Bust out those blue Christmas lights and twine them around backyard trees or shrubs.
No party is worth it’s weight in berries without a delicious dessert and the perfect one for this get-together is a yummy Blueberry Crumble.
And finally, to set the auditory mood, download and belt out tunes, such as Blue Sunday, Blue Sky, Blue Velvet, Blue Orchid or the bluest of blueberry songs, Blueberry Hill. Check this site for more colorful songs.
