Savvy hosts have been using scrapbook and designer paper to personalize party details for years. Browse the scrapbook aisle of your local craft or stationary store and you're sure to find 12-inch squares of designer paper ranging from 25-cents to $1.00 a sheet. Choose complementary colored and patterned paper to embellish your party with these ideas.
- Party Banner - Craft a party pennant banner.
- Cut out large triangles from scrapbook paper then cut out the letters in the party title, such as "Summer Soiree," from solid color paper.
- Use glue-stick to adhere the letters to the triangles; make sure the triangles are facing upside down.
- Punch holes in the top or wide part of the triangle and string ribbon through leaving plenty of excess on each end to hang the banner at the party.
- Paper Liners -Use scrapbook paper as placemats or to line trays that have food or drink.
- Cupcake Wrappers - Make cupcake wrappers!
- Create a pattern first using white paper. Wrap the paper around a cupcake and trim where necessary.
- Trace the pattern on to your theme paper and cut it out.
- Wrap it around a cupcake and secure with double-stick tape.
