Recreate the surreal imagery from Alice in Wonderland by using vibrant colors and whimsical decorations.
1. The White Rabbit
Set up a stuffed bunny rabbit either just outside your home or just inside the entrance.
Set up a hand-painted, colorful sign on the front door that invites guests to "Join Us Down the Rabbit Hole."
Use additional hand-painted "This Way" and "That Way" signs throughout your home to lead guests to the room where you will be holding the tea party.
2. Clocks
The white rabbit spends much of the novel running around proclaiming how late he is while checking his pocket watch.
Round up all of the clocks in your home and display them in the room where you will be holding the tea party.
You can put them on a silver platter in the center of the table as a centerpiece, or replace current artwork and paintings with all different shapes and sizes of wall clocks for the party.
3. Queen of Roses
The Queen in Alice and Wonderland was very particular about her roses - and you should be, too!
Fill vases with red and white roses to tie in the part of the story about "painting the roses red."
You can also use a large white piece of foam core board to create oversized playing cards.
Hang them on your walls in a staggered formation or duct tape them to lawn stakes and create a playing card pathway in the front or backyard.
