Easy Cupcake Toppers

Cupcake toppers are a quick and easy way for kids to dress up cupcakes. The possibilities are endless. Have kids choose from any color paper and any stickers to match the theme of their party. Another idea: Without telling guests, mark the back of one topper with a uniquely colored circle sticker. Whoever gets that cupcake wins a prize.

Preparation

To create easy cupcake toppers you will need:*
• colorful cardstock
• circle cutter or scissors
• stickers (about 1 to 1 ½ inches)
• 4-inch lollipop sticks
• small circle labels or scotch tape
• frosted cupcakes
*All of the above (except for the cupcakes) can be found at any craft store.

Steps

Cut out circles from card stock about 2 inches in diameter. If you don’t have a circle cutter, you can use a cookie cutter, jar lid or small can to trace the circle and cut out with scissors. (Younger kids may need help cutting out the circles.)
Attach sticker to center of cardstock circle and place face down on table.
With circle labels or scotch tape, attach lollipop stick to the back (make sure you know where the top of the sticker is before putting face down so the stick comes off the bottom of the circle).
Simply insert lollipop stick into frosted cupcake.
