Father's Day Cupcake Decorations

Fruit Roll-Up Necktie Cupcakes

• Ice cupcakes with white frosting.
• Use clean scissors to cut necktie shapes out of fruit roll-ups.
• Place fruit roll-up neckties on top of iced cupcakes.

D-A-D Cupcakes

• Ice cupcakes with any frosting you like.
• Spell the letters in "Dad" on individual cupcakes using mini M&Ms.
• Sprinkle mini M&Ms on remaining cupcakes in the batch.
• Arrange cupcake on a platter with the D-A-D cupcakes in the center and the rest surrounding it.

Golf Green Cupcakes

• Tint white frosting green with food coloring and ice cupcakes.
• Tint sweetened flaked coconut green with food coloring and mix until color is throughout. Sprinkle green coconut on top of cupcakes.
• Make little golf flags using a toothpick and a triangular piece of construction paper for each flag. Tape the paper to the top of the toothpick to resemble a golf flag and write "Dad" on the flag. Insert a flag into each cupcake.
• To make mini golf balls, mix 1/2 cup powdered sugar with 1/2 teaspoon of water until sugar is moistened but stiff like clay; add more water if necessary. Roll mixture into little golf balls and place a ball on each cupcake.

Hot Dog on the Grill Cupcake:

• Ice a cupcake with chocolate frosting.
• Pipe lines of white or yellow decorator's icing across the cupcake so it resembles the grate on a grill or barbeque.
• Place a bubblegum hot dog on top of each cupcake.  
• Optional: Pipe a squiggle of red or yellow decorator's icing on the hot dogs as ketchup or mustard.
