This adorable Ghost Cake, created and photographed by Brooke Johnson, reminds me of Charlie Brown. It's so sweet!
Brooke said, "I used three 6-inch cakes sculpted to make the Ghost Cake, with a mix of store bought fondant and rolled butter cream. A friend and fellow Wilton classmate helped me make the candy corn and mini pumpkins."
Steps:
- To make your own version of this cake, you could sculpt the cake like Brooke did and then ice the entire outer surface with butter cream frosting.
- Roll out prepared white fondant and drape it over the cake allowing for folds in the fondant to resemble a ghost costume made out of a bed sheet.
- Cut oval holes in the fondant for eyes and use colored fondant to make the eyes.
- To make the orange Halloween bag, you could simply roll out orange fondant and cover a small box lid. Use fondant shapes to make the Jack O'Lantern eyes on it. Attach it to the ghost using butter bream frosting. When the frosting is set, place some candy in the top of the bag and around the base of the ghost as well.
- You could use small pieces of cake covered with fondant or frosting for the ghost's shoes!
