Homemade Mother's Day Cards

Making cards for Mother's Day is the perfect craft. Kids enjoy creating them, and no other gift is as special as a homemade card from a son or daughter. There is no limit to how the cards look from drawing pictures to gluing paper flowers to writing “I love you.” Even the youngest crafters can contribute with crayon scribbles or putting on stickers. If you are a dad or caregiver looking for some card-making inspiration, here are some good ideas.

• Use decorative scissors to cut flower shapes out of cardstock. In the center, have kids write a special message to mom. Fold the petals in toward the center to create an envelope like seal.
• Let kids draw a picture of themselves and their mom doing a favorite activity. 
• Use craft paint and kids’ fingerprints to make unique card designs. Create a heart shape or spell out the word ‘mom.’
