Mother's Day Craft for Kids: Bouquet of Handprints
For a variation on handprint crafts, give Mom a show of hands. Instead of a work of art, use handprints to create a pseudo flower arrangement. The addition of little notes written on each hand transforms these nonperishable flowers into an extra-special treat.

Preparation
  • Supplies:
    • Colorful paper
    • Scissors
    • Pens or colored pencils
    • Small dowels, wooden skewers, or straws (to use as stems)
    • Green craft paint (optional)
    • Small vase, flower pot or bowl
    • Craft glue
    • Florist’s foam

Steps
  • Trace and cut out each child’s handprints using different colors of paper. Make as many as you want.

  • Ask kids to write one thing he or she loves about Mom on each handprint.

  • Paint dowels or skewers with green paint, if using.

  • Glue handprints to the front of stems.

  • Put florist foam in the vase and insert flowers.

  • Place decorative grass or candies around the base of the flowers to add the florist foam.
