Paper hearts are a mainstay around Valentine's Day, but they work equally well when repurposed as flower petals for an everlasting Mother's Day bouquet. Use paper in mom's favorite color for a personalized touch.

Preparation
  • Supplies:
    • Colored paper
    • Scissors
    • Floral wire
    • Craft glue
    • Small beads, buttons or sequins

Steps
  • Cut out 3 to 5 same size hearts from colored paper.

  • Arrange the hearts in the shape of a flower bloom with overlap at the pointed end.

  • Thread floral wire through the end of each heart.

  • Twist the wire to keep hearts in place.

  • Glue a bead or other embellishment in the center of each flower.

  • Arrange flowers in a vase or attach with a ribbon and present to mom
