Put Together a Flowering Cross
By Karen Perkins Staff Writer
Easter and
brunch are almost synonymous. Here is a unique activity to plan for your guests before the meal begins - create a
flowering cross . It is a beautiful observance of the Christian holiday. A cross draped in fresh spring flowers symbolizes the new life given through the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Wrap a wooden cross in chicken wire. Ask guests to bring one or more flowers with stems. As they arrive, have guests place flower stems through the wire to decorate the cross. Fill in with extra blooms as needed.
