Christmas Activity: Ready, Set, Decorate!
You've got the cookies and the icing, time for the candy! Gather a fun mix of traditional and unique candies.
  • Sprinkles: Choose a multi-colored mix for kids who want their cookies covered in a rainbow of color.
  • Red Shoestring licorice: Cut up licorice into smaller pieces to make

hair and a smile on gingerbread girls and boys.
  • Gumdrops: These make dazzling jewels on a frosted ornament-ball shaped cookie.
  • Mini Marshmallows: Leave as whole or cut in half and add to a white frosted star-shaped cookie.  If you you're looking to have more fun, try making your own marshmallows!

Preparation
  • To keep party chaos to a minimum, give each child their own workstation that includes a placemat and clean paintbrushes to apply the icing.

Also, be sure to set the candy out down the center of the table so everyone can share.

Steps
  • Let the kids have at it decorating their cookies. Just be sure to stay close by with lots of paper towels!
