Kids love playing with craft foam so why not use it to help them make a birthday card for a family member or friend.
The best part about working with craft foam is that it is available in lots of shapes including letters and numbers! To really stretch your budget, pick up a tub of letter and number shapes so you'll always be ready to make a card.
Also, if the birthday recipient is having a theme-party, you can use craft foam shapes in lots of themes such as pirates, cats and dogs, princess, palm trees, seasonal holidays and so much more.

Preparation
- When gathering your supplies, we recommend picking up sticky-back craft foam shapes but if you can’t find them, be sure to pick up a tube of glue specifically made for craft foam like Aleene's FunCraft Foam Glue.
Steps
- Start with a blank greeting card or fold an 8 ½ x 11 piece of plain (white or colored) cardstock in half.
- Then, use craft foam shapes and letters to spell out Happy Birthday, the recipient’s name and/or age. If you’re working with really little kids (under the age of say 5) you may want to consider making a larger card so they have a bigger canvas to work with.
- If you use craft foam stick-back shapes, they just peel-and-stick. If you need to glue them on, let the card dry before giving it to the birthday recipient.
