Here's how to make your own candied flowers:
- Choose your flowers: Only use fresh stems. If you're cutting your own, cut as close to the stem as possible.
- Prepare Egg Whites: Dilute powdered egg whites with water and whisk into a thin paste.
- Apply the Sugar: Dip a paintbrush into the eggwhite paste and apply to the surface of the flower. Sprinkle with very fine sugar.
- Place flowers on metal sheet covered in wax paper.
- Allow your flowers to dry: Store flowers in a cool-dry place for 24-hours
