Where to set up and what to serve at your next New Years Eve party.

Setting up the Feast

  • I suggest you choose one spot to set up your New Year's "table of plenty”.
  • Your dining room table may be a good bet, or a few folding tables covered with festive cloths.
  • Whatever you use, make sure the food is easily accessible.

Serving up the Foods

I suggest grab-and-go finger foods like “breads and spreads”

  • Try Grilled Pita Triangles with some Mediterranean Spreads like Hummus and Feta Cheese and Herb Pate. Add stuffed grape leaves and some room tempurate spinach pie triangles.
  • Buy some platters of fresh sushi from your local Japanese restaurant; your guests will be glad you did.

Get a little more gourmet and make a truly ethnic cheese board with an array of  really fine imported cheese like Peppata, Asiago, Monchego, and Triple Crème brie.

  • Add a fig paste, fresh berries, and delicious warm baguettes.

Platters of mini croissant sandwiches are another great option.

  • Try turkey, brie, and basil aioli.
  • Or filet mignon with Vermont cheddar, crispy onions and horseradish cream.

Remember, room temp foods are the key.

Also take a little extra time to decorate your buffet table. It will make all the difference. Remember, presentation is everything.
