A Modern Black and Tan Beer Cocktail

Contributor

Irish Cider is a popular summer drink made famous by its sweet taste and light aftertaste.

Mixed with the heaviness of Guinness, this beer cocktail recipe for St. Patrick's Day makes for a modern version of the popular Black and Tan that we all love in America.

I used these festive Guinness pint glasses to serve my drinks in, but any pint glass will suffice.

If you're planning to host a celebration, displaying pre-made black and tan cocktails along side a Lucky You printable drink card makes it easy for guests to see what drinks are on offer and is a great way to continue the décor theme of the table.

I gave my black and tans a festive St. Patrick's Day name, but you can label yours however you'd like!

Ingredients:

1/2 Pint of Cider Beer (Pear or Apple)

1/2 Pint of Guinness

Directions:

The trick with ensuring you have the layered look is to pour the Cider first, and then top with Guinness using a spoon to soften the pour of the Guinness onto the Cider in the glass.
