Read up on the different components of popular cocktails to impress your guests at your next soiree.
Campari: Great on ice and very popular in the Riviera.
Chambord: Raspberry flavored liquor great with coffee.
Cognac: A small snifter is perfect to finish a steak dinner.
Grand Marnier: Elegant for an after dinner drink with dessert.
Grenadine: Adds a splash of color and goes well with pineapple and orange juice.
Kahlua: Super in a White Russian or coffee.
Kirsch: Otherwise known as Kirschwasser is cherry water. Add a splash to 2 shots of dry vermouth and a teaspoon of Chambord to make A Rose cocktail.
Schnapps: (Peach, Peppermint): Peach is superb in my Beach Bellalini.
Triple Sec: A component of margaritas. If in NYC, Rosa Mexicana's margaritas rocks!
Vermouth: Add a little for a very dry martini.
Bitters: A must-have for Manhattans.
Simple Syrup (flavors optional): It is used in many cocktails including daiquiris and hurricanes.
Pomegranate Juice: Great in club soda or with champagne, pear juice and Grand Marnier.
