An English-Inspired Arnold Palmer

Contributor

Golf may be off the menu for the 2012 London Summer Olympics, but that does not mean you can’t fill your glasses with one of summer’s best-loved beverages.

Putting an English spin on the ever popular Arnold Palmer lemonade and iced tea combination all Americans appreciate, this cocktail mixes in gin and sparkling tonic to give it that fizz that everyone loves in a summer drink recipe.

Ingredients:

4 ounces of chilled Earl Grey Tea

1 ounce of gin

1 ounce of fresh lemon juice

Ice

1 lemon

Directions:

In a glass filled with ice, add your chilled ice tea and gin, then squeeze in the fresh juice from half a lemon, or alternatively 1 ounce lemon juice, over the contents and gently stir before garnishing with a wedge of lemon.
