Angels and Demons Murder Mystery Game

The Angels & Demons murder mystery game is a riff on classic spooky group game Murder in the Dark. You can find a set of rules on how to play murder in the dark here, and tweak them as follows to fit into the Angels and Demons Halloween party theme:

Rule Changes

1. Whoever chooses the King is Robert Langdon instead of the policeman, and whoever pulls the Ace from the deck of cards is the hashshashin who will be murdering the priests.

2. Instead of playing the game all at once, scatter each murder throughout the party by turning out the lights once per hour (with warning, of course) to let the hashshashin murder another victim. This will build the suspense throughout the night as people try to figure out who the hashshashin is.

3. Each person murdered by the hashshashin should receive an Earth, Wind, Fire or Water ambigram sticker to wear over their costume until the hashshashin is identified.

4. Hide a metal or plastic container somewhere in the house labeled antimatter', and let guests know that whoever finds the antimatter canister will win a special prize at the end of the evening. Give the winner a copy of the Angels & Demons DVD, or book on tape as their prize.
