Ingredients:
5 Mcintosh or Gala apples, peeled and sliced
1/3 cup white sugar
1 cup flour
1/3 cup brown sugar
Pinch of salt
6 tablespoons butter, chilled and sliced into pieces
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Toss apple slices and white sugar together in the baking dish. Set aside.
Combine flour, brown sugar, butter and salt.
Mix it all together with your hands until incorporated, but still crumbly.
Sprinkle the mixture over the apples evenly and bake for about 45-50 minutes, until the top is golden and the apples are bubbling.
