Apricot Plum Pork Chops in a White Wine Sauce

Celebrations Editor

When you want to impress dinner guests but avoid a ton of kitchen work, no recipe can compete with this one. For one thing, the most prep work you'll do with this dish is slice onions - the dried Sunsweet® fruits get tossed right into the dish, as do the pork chops, making it an easy recipe for dinner.

Another great thing about our apricot plum chops is the flavor. The bitterness of the chardonnay paired with the sweet juices from the apricots and plums make for a lovely bite that's simple, sweet and sophisticated.

So, the next time you've got dinner guests coming by, try this dish. We guarantee they'll be impressed and you'll be happy!

Ingredients:

4 boneless pork chops

1/2 cup chardonnay

heavy drizzle of olive oil (about a tablespoon and a half worth)

1/2 cup chicken broth

tablespoon herbs de Provence

4 cloves garlic, chopped

1/2 bag (3 ounces) of Sunsweet® Mediterranean Apricots

1/3 cup Sunsweet® Plum Amazins™

2 small onions, sliced

Directions:

Preheat your oven to 425 degrees.

In a casserole dish, pour in your chardonnay and chicken broth. Mix in the chopped garlic and herbs de Provence. Add in your apricots, plums and sliced onions. Drizzle everything with olive oil then toss.

Lie your pork chops in the dish, pushing aside the fruit if you need to. Add another drizzle of olive oil and then cover.

Pop in the oven and cook for about 20 - 25 minutes.

That's it!
