Asian Pear Margarita

First off, think of your favorite fall flavors: pear, apple… You may think these fruits have zero business being in a margarita, but don't knock it 'til you’ve tried it!

Just like how the perfect pair of boots can take an outfit from day to night, these fall fruits are the secret ingredients that will guide the margarita out of summer and into fall.

Pear is an ingredient seldom found in cocktails, and it is simply delectable when paired with lime and tequila. If you can't find Asian pears, you can substitute any variety – just make sure that they're super ripe so they can be muddled.

Watch us walk you through how to make this delicious drink and then see the recipe below!

 Ingredients:

Diced Asian Pear (very ripe)

1 1/2 ounce Tequila

3/4 ounce Cointreau (or other orange liqueur)

3/4 ounce Freshly squeezed lime juice

2 ounces Pear Nectar

Directions:

In the bottom of a shaker, muddle the pear until you have a juicy pulp.

Add ice and tequila, Cointrea, lime juice and Pear Nectar.

Shake vigorously and strain into a highball over fresh ice.

Garnish with a pear slice.

(For the apple version, substitute a Macoun apple for the Asian Pear and Apple Cider for the Pear Nectar… you won't be disappointed!)
