Asian Red Cabbage Turkey Wraps

Sweet, spicy and salty, these turkey wraps are infused with Asian flavors that explode all over your palate. The warm turkey mixture gets added bite and crunch when served in red cabbage leaves, which also makes for some eye candy before you dig in to this delicious recipe.

And while prunes may seem like a strange addition, trust us, they're the best part. Not only do they compliment the spicy chili sauce with some added sweetness, they also add a pop of texture to the dish. Most importantly - it's a great way to get some healthy fiber in your dish without sacrificing flavor.

Ingredients

1 pound ground turkey
3 tablespoons Less Sodium Soy Sauce
1 tablespoon Less Sodium Teriyaki Sauce
1 tablespoon Asian Chili Sauce (spicy)
1/2 cup Sunsweet® Plum Amazins™
Ground Pepper to taste
Shredded Carrots
Chopped Scallions
Red Cabbage Leaves

Directions

Start by browning your ground turkey in a skillet over medium high heat. Stir regularly and allow the meat to cook through completely.

Once cooked, drain any excess grease.

Next, add your soy sauce, teriyaki sauce and chili sauce. Stir in until combined.

Add in your Sunsweet® dried diced plums and stir. Allow the turkey and plum mixture to simmer for five minutes on a low heat.

While the mixture simmers, prepare your wraps. Cut the bottom of a red cabbage off and peel the leaves. It's okay if they come off in pieces - the leaves are quite big and you only need about half for each wrap.

Just before you're ready to plate, season with ground pepper to taste.

Once ready, spoon the mixture into the red cabbage leaves. Top with shredded carrots and chopped scallions.
