I don't know who the brilliant baker was that first came up with the idea of a Barbie Birthday Cake, but it never ceases to drop jaws and make all the little girls giddy at a party. Bake up these tasty Barbie birthday cake for your little one's birthday celebrations.

For the Barbie cake pictured, I placed a Bundt cake on a larger cake to feed more people. I iced the cake with pink frosting and then cut out fondant flowers and leaves for decorations.

Directions

    • Bake your favorite cake recipe in a Bundt pan or a dome-shaped cake pan.
    • Also, bake an 8-inch cake to fill in any gaps around the top of the cake to Barbie's waistline.
    • Ice a cake board with frosting and set the Bundt or dome cake on top.
    • Insert Barbie into the center of the cake and determine if you need to cut some cake pieces from the 8-inch cake to make her "cake skirt" look like it naturally comes down from her waist.
    • Ice the entire cake with a couple of layers of frosting until it is covered and decorate it with pink sprinkles and candies.
