Bat Juice Halloween Mocktail

A Halloween party needs a spooky dark drink to capture the theme of the celebration.

This Halloween drink came to me while planning my Bat Scare theme party. The invitation I sent out from Pear Tree Greetings was all about bats, so I knew I had to make sure I had a signature drink inspired by my winged designs.

Adding candy to the mix only made this Halloween drink more popular! This is a simple recipe to prepare in advance, and one that your younger hosts can enjoy putting together for you.

When concocting this drink, be careful not to over fill your soda bottle so that there is no room for air. If you do, when you open it again, the mix will bubble over and cause a bit of a mess.

If you have adults enjoying this Halloween mocktail, add a splash of vodka to make it a Halloween cocktail!

Ingredients:

1 Liter Bottle of 7up

10 Black Twizzlers, plus 2 for each cup to use as straws.

Ice

Directions:

A few hours before the party begins, add 10 Black Twizzlers to a liter bottle of
7up and leave sealed in the refrigerator for several house to infuse.

After resting, the 7up will turn dark black.

To serve, fill a glass with ice, pour in your black 7up and garnish with 2 black Twizzlers for sipping.

*If making a cocktail you can choose to add a splash of vodka to your glass before pouring in the infused 7up. Give a quick stir, garnish and serve!
