Decorating for a beach theme party is so much fun and also pretty easy to do. Incorporating summer decorations you already have on hand with a few inexpensive items from a local store will keep costs down as well.

Here's a peek at how we decorated our beach theme party.

White sand from your local home and garden center is an inexpensive way to create seaside paths throughout your party and add an instant beach.

Have plenty of colourful beach towels on hand to add splashes of color throughout the party. We bundled ours in a cooler we had on hand, but you could use these as throws for chairs or hang a few together to create a backdrop behind a bar or buffett.

The kids' beach buckets or pails make the perfect mini-ice chests for your bottled drinks.  Place them throughout the party space so guests can grab a refill at their leisure. Everyone will stay refreshed all evening long without you having to do the serving!

Be prepared for night-fall with plenty of candles to illuminate your sandy beach path. These taller, glass votives burned long and were protected from the wind, so we didn't have to worry about keeping them lit.

Beach inspired canterpieces tie the Caribbean theme together and can be simple to make. We took a white serving platter, positioned two tall white candles on it and then covered the botoom with seashells. So easy!
