The combination of beer and barbecue is a must-have at any summer party. Of course there are so many beer BBQ sauce recipes, but this one is made with Guinness so it adds a deep, smoky layer that is ideal for beef ribs, chicken and steak.
I don't know if you have ever cooked with liquid smoke, but it is a great way to add that smokey, outdoor barbecue flavor without actually throwing your ingredients on the grill. Check out the full recipe below and be sure to serve this amazing dip at your next party!
2 cups Guinness Stout
6 tablespoons brown sugar
2 teaspoons salt
2 teaspoons pepper
2 tablespoons chili powder
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 cup Worcestershire sauce
4 cups ketchup
2 teaspoons liquid smoke
Combine ingredients in a large saucepan.
Bring to boil over medium-high heat.
Reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until sauce thickens.
Allow to cool to room temperature for flavors to blend.
Use as a BBQ sauce for chicken, ribs, or whatever you like.
