Bird's Nest Theme Baby Shower Favors

My niece and her husband gave each guest at their wedding a fresh orchid nestled in a ceramic pear vase by ceramist Barbara Eigen. They attached a tag that said "Julie Anne and Tom - The Perfect Pear." For her shower, each guest received a miniature pear nestled in a tiny nest with a card that said, "The Perfect Pair is Nesting!"

To recreate this look, just purchase mini nests for each of your guests at the local craft store. Then, place a pear inside! Though everyone is sure to enjoy the fresh fruit as is, we like the idea of coating in caramel or chocolate.

Another, though slightly different way to incorporate the pear into your favor is with a fake piece of fruit. Head to your local dollar store or craft store and pick up fake pears along with a small nest decoration for each guest.

Spray paint the pairs gold and allow to dry. Next, personalize them with a special quote or note using a metallic marker so that each one is unique, just like your guests!
