Birthday party games are a must for children's birthday parties! Channel their energy, creativity and team support with one of these fun party ideas.
Name Game for Children
Gather children in a circle around the leader.
Toss a balloon in the air and call one child's name.
That child must catch the balloon before it touches the ground. If the child succeeds, she gets to toss the balloon and call the next name.
A child is out when the balloon hits the ground, and must sit down.
Last child standing is the winner!
Set up an obstacle course outdoors and mark the course with string.
Divide guests into two teams and line both teams up at the starting line.
The first person in each line has a tennis racket, broom, wooden spoon, or some other object to move the balloons along the obstacle course and three inflated balloons.
Each team member must move all of their balloons through the entire course. The first team to finish the course, wins.
Note: If a balloon pops during a player's turn, they must take a new balloon to the starting line and start again.
What's For Dinner?
You will need a paper plate and inflated balloon for each player.
The players need to place their balloon on a paper plate and then carry the plate to a finish line without letting the balloon fall to the ground.
If the balloon falls, they must go back to the starting line and begin again.
First player to the finish line is the winner.
Kids love this one. Form two teams.
Each player lines up behind their leader. At the signal, the leader passes the balloon over his head to the next player in line. That player must pass the balloon under his legs to the player behind him.
The balloon passing alternates between over and under, all the way down the line. The last player then sends the balloon back to the front of the line--again, alternating the over/under pass.
The team who gets the balloon back to the front of the line first, wins.
