Blood Drops Garland

Decorate for Halloween this year with this creative garland idea. These soft sculpture drops of blood are too cute. It’s OK -- Halloween is the rare time of year when horror and gore combine with whimsy. Even better, this garland of glittery felt “blood drops”  requires no sewing and is an easy Halloween decoration idea to make with the kids. Follow these instructions in creating this great decorating garland for your Halloween festivities.

Supplies

Red felt
Marker
Craft glue
Cotton batting
Red glitter glue
String

Directions

Sandwich two pieces of red felt together, lining up the edges.

Draw droplet shapes – some long, some fat – on the felt with a marker.

Cut out the droplets through both pieces of felt so you have two identical cutouts of each drop.

Apply a line of craft glue around the edge of one half of a felt drop, leaving about 2 inches unglued.

Press the two halves together. Allow the glue to dry.

Fill the felt drops with a small amount of cotton batting to make them dimensional.

Glue the remaining section of the inside edge of each felt drop. You may need to weight the glued section with an item such as a drinking glass to keep the edge closed as it dries.

Embellish the drops with red glitter glue.

Glue to tops of the felt blood drops along a string. Allow the glue to dry completely before hanging the garland.
