Brandy Alexander

A luxurious sip, the Brandy Alexander has been a popular drink of choice throughout the 20th century. It made its way into pop culture most recently on AMC's hit show Mad Men.

If you're anticipating the latest season of Mad Men like we are, or you're just looking to try a classic cocktail, this creamy, brandy based concoction is the perfect choice.

Ingredients

1 1/2 ounces brandy
1 ounce dark creme de cacao
1 ounce half and half
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg, for garnish

Directions

In a shaker half-filled with ice cubes, combine the brandy, creme de cacao, and half-and-half. Shake well.

Strain into a cocktail glass and garnish with the nutmeg.
