Building With Boxes

The worst part about moving is the never-ending amount of cardboard boxes in all different shapes and sizes, but as the saying goes, “one man’s trash is another man’s treasure!”

For this fun housewarming party game, turn your would be trash into works of art by recreating some of the world’s most famous sculptures and buildings.

Recommended Number of Players: 6+

Equipment:

As many carboard boxes as possible
Heavy duty tape such as duct tape
Scissors
Sample images

Set Up:

Distribute equal amounts of cardboard, tape, and scissors to each group. Make sample images of each of famous building or sculptures (think Eiffel Tower, Taj Mahal, Colosseum in Rome) easily available for each group as a reference point.

How to Play:

1. Separate into groups (at least 2 to a group, more depending on size of party).

2. Each group will choose which building/sculpture they want to create. Try to have an assortment of landmarks that are equally challenging to create using boxes.

3. Use only supplies provided to build. Cardboard can be cut up in any way necessary. If you'd like, set a time limit.

Winner:

Group that makes a strong-standing building closest to the original wins! You can designate a specific guest judge and jury, or leave it to popular vote.
